Under the clear blue skies of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert lies a safe and secure sanctuary of healing—Mellody House. Located directly adjacent to the campus of The Meadows of Wickenburg, this dedicated 14-bed facility offers 60-90 day extended care programs for victims of deep-seated emotional trauma.
The treatment program at Mellody House is based on the work of its namesake, Pia Mellody, along with contributions from Jerry Boriskin, Bessel A. Van Der Kolk and Peter A. Levine, senior fellows at The Meadows and leading experts in the fields of addiction, trauma and recovery. Their ground-breaking methods not only deal with the symptoms of trauma—they also address the underlying core issues—issues like self-esteem, boundaries, reality, dependency, moderation and containment.
Mellody House offers a highly individualized treatment plan based on 12-step traditions and featuring therapies designed to heal the mind, body and spirit. Treatment options at Mellody House include:

A lifetime of trauma doesn’t go away overnight— it may take many weeks, and even months of intensive therapy. But here’s the good news: we’ve found that patients who stay the longest tend to have the most success, their recoveries are usually more profound—and potentially life long.
